DanCo Data Browser
In 2002 DanCo engineers developed a web based application to allow users to access process control data from the Microsoft SQL Server database. The operator was required to select the desired tag names from a list, enter a start date and start time, enter an end date and end time and select “Get Data”, the application would create a Microsoft SQL query, retrieve the requested data, and display the data in HTML using a web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.
The DanCo Data Browser has evolved to provide graphical charts and xy plots for selected data, near real time trends of process control data, and scheduled daily shift reports that run after hours and are stored on a server for management to review as required.
The Chart displays the Title, requested tags, associated tag scales and requested time.
Following the selection of the Title and two tags, the Data Browser displays the XY Plot.
The DanCo Data Browser can provide near real time trends, charts, process data in less than a minutes time and can allow the simplest operator to create schedule reports all from a web browser.
The Data Browser provides the capability to display either one or two independent trend displays that automatically refresh at specified intervals. Each Trend displays Title, Tag Names, scales and the specified time.
